Usually when a pastor preaches a sermon about marriage the line comes across, “I’m talking to the married people here, sorry all of you single people just hang on for a second.” This is usually followed by a tidbit on marriage, like how to deal with conflict, an anecdote, or a biblical look at how married people should relate to each other. These days, depending on the demographic, some churches are mostly filled with single people. These single people can be young adults, single parents, or those who have are older and have been called to never be married. Statistically 90% of people will marry, and 75% of those who divorce will remarry. Preachers shouldn’t have to apologize for preaching sermons about marriage.
